Cheeky’s story began on the sun-soaked streets of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. She was less than a year old when a rescue worker found her—chunky, a little cross-eyed, with a quirky mohawk running down her back. Some might have called her unusual, but to me, she was perfect. From the moment I was offered this little Mexican girl while living on Vancouver Island, I knew she was meant to be part of my life.

When Cheeky moved in, I couldn’t wait to show her the world. Together, we’ve crossed provinces and coastlines, driven six days across Canada, and explored every stop along the way. From the rugged beauty of British Columbia to the windswept shores of Prince Edward Island, Cheeky has been my fearless co-pilot through every chapter.

What makes her extraordinary isn’t just her resilience, but her spirit of adventure. Cheeky never hesitates to dive into new experiences—whether it’s soaring on an airplane, riding a Ferris wheel, or even joining me on a deep-sea fishing trip. If there’s a life to be lived, Cheeky is always first in line.
